It’s football season, my friends! Color me apathetic. I admit, I’m not a huge football watcher…but I do love me some wings, beer, nachos, and sitting on a couch for longer than recommended durations.
Oh, and let’s not forget my game-time snoozes.
This is where my hubby watches the Iowa game and we commence eating on the couch. Then I fall asleep while he sits on the edge of his seat yelling at the screen so he can “help them pull out the win.” Then I wake up and he tells me all about it. Then I feign interest while finishing off the wings. Then I usually take another nap while he talks to his dad (in Iowa) all about it.
This little college football ritual means I need a great workout that gets me off the couch and out on the field burning lots of calories in the shortest amount of time possible. Hey, I got a couch waiting for me, and that’s important stuff! I have no time to waste.
Enter this play-by-play workout that is perfect for the playground.
Playgrounds: I know they were made for kiddos, but the nice thing about football season is that it’s back-to-school season as well. So the park is finally quiet and free for use, which means you don’t have to feel like a crazy or slightly scary adult person, trying to work out while surrounded by 6-7 year olds.
Of course, you don’t need a playground either. A step and a railing off your front porch will do. We aim to keep things simple, so after you read this, you can follow through and get ‘er done. Because you GOTTA do the workout to actually SEE a difference.
Now get out there and do it! All the way through will only take you 10 minutes. You could do it more than once — like kicking a field goal to get some extra points and win the game of gettin’ lean!
Oh, and stay tuned, ’cause we’ve got some recipe magic that’s gonna change your next game day!
